Am I Nima Safe Code: POND in the Demo
The Am I Nima demo safe opens with POND, per players in the game's Steam Community thread. How the clue points there and what the demo limits.

Table of Contents
In the Am I Nima demo, the safe connected to the Life/Fossil chapter opens with POND. That answer was posted by player recca in the Steam Community thread "Alternate Ending? Hidden content?", who said the code can be found in the room and "relates to a name of something she liked." It is a player-reported demo solution, not a code announced by HO! Games.
Why POND fits the clue
The thread opens with a player asking whether the Life/Fossil chapter can end without a lobotomy and whether anyone has cracked the safe. The first guesses — "fish", "life" and "nima" — missed, as did a longer list of four-letter attempts that included Save, Lane, Sane, Bone and Line. POND was the reply that closed the question.
The reasoning players connect it to is family detail rather than wordplay alone. Later in the same thread, another player lists "James Pond, Dad" among the characters whose backstory can be pieced together from word combinations. The demo's bedroom stretch also leans on Nima's father: a shark plush from an aquarium trip with him and a fossilized rock are the two items used to jog her memory, as described in a March 2025 demo write-up. A name tied to something Nima liked, pointing at her dad, lines up with POND — though that connection is player interpretation, not something the developer spelled out.

Demo-only limits
The safe belongs to the demo's final stretch. In the same thread, HO! Games replied that the demo "always ends with the mother stabbing you," and that the full release would add two more days, three more rooms and five different endings. So at the time of that February 2025 discussion, there was no alternate route past the ending, and the safe was a dead-end curiosity rather than a gate to another scene. The developer's reply there addresses the ending and planned content, not the safe itself.
If you are playing a build later than that demo, treat POND as a starting point rather than a permanent answer — a changed or expanded release could rework the puzzle. The Steam hub for the game is the place to check what players are reporting for your build.
If POND is rejected
- Make sure you are entering the word at the safe itself, not using it as a dialogue option. The game's conversation system runs on combining and choosing words, and it is easy to spend a word in the wrong place.
- Check your spelling and that you are not on a different puzzle prompt; several players in the thread initially mixed up the safe with the fossil question, which triggers the ending.
- If you are past the demo content, stop guessing from this page and look for a newer thread. The code above is tied to the demo version discussed in February 2025.
