The short answer

As of 2026-10-18, there are no finished Am I Nima endings to catalogue: the official Steam page lists a release date of Nov 27, 2026 and does not offer the full game for purchase. What exists is the free demo, and the demo's ending is exactly what players keep asking about. Most reports describe the demo funnelling everyone into one grim conclusion, while a few players describe alternate outcomes inside the same slice. The full game's endings have not been described on the Steam page as of 2026-10-18.

The demo ending most players reach

A March 2025 let's-play write-up of the demo, "Let's play: Am I Nima? (Demo)", walks through the whole playable slice. Nima wakes strapped to a chair in the basement while her mother, Anabelle Lee, keeps her there and runs a set of tests. The write-up's demo closes with the mother kneeling over her, noting that the anaesthetic has worn off, and lobotomising her. It also flags the second voice that appears under the main dialogue — "You messed up. Pushed her buttons too much. She doesn't love you anymore." — and the late-demo words it unlocks, including corpse, parasite, hubris, god and autopsy. In that account there is no escape branch: the demo simply stops there.

Players disagree on how many demo outcomes exist

Reports from players who replayed the demo in spring 2025 do not line up. One camp says the demo has a single ending and expects the multiple endings to arrive with the full game; others say they found three different answers that all landed on the same ending; another says the mother's final question has no correct answer at all. The most detailed account, from late April 2025, lists three separate demo outcomes — trying to run away, remembering "why show me this", and remembering either "you found it" or "it is about her work" — and mentions a secret word, "Pond", on the safe that reportedly only produces a memo and no new words.

Those accounts date from 2025 and none of them states which demo build was used, so treat the exact number of demo outcomes as unsettled. What they agree on is that the demo does not hand out a clean, happy resolution.

The "all endings" video is still demo material

The YouTube explainer "Am I Nima – Story & All Endings Explained" is built entirely from the demo. It describes a death loop: confront the mother about her work, her neglect, or the fossil, and she kills Nima again, insisting there is always another time. Combining words such as "obsession" triggers a flashback to Pearl, the retirement-home resident who looked after Nima when her mother was absorbed in her research. The video's reading is that Nima's diary, scribbled over with a warning not to trust the woman, reveals she has died many times, and that the only exit from the loop would be to kill her mother. It ends by saying the full release will resolve the story — which fits the demo-only scope.

Take that as one player's interpretation of the demo, not a route list for the finished game.

What the full release promises

The official Steam page describes a psychological-horror game where you harvest words from objects in Nima's world, combine them in her mind to reach buried memories, and use them to steer conversations with her mother — tell her what she wants to hear, or probe for the truth. Its user-defined tags include Multiple Endings and Choices Matter, and the demo is free. An earlier announcement on the same page named October 8, 2026 as the launch date, so the November listing is the newer one. The Steam page does not describe the individual full-game endings or how many there are as of 2026-10-18.

Practical notes for the demo

  • Click through every object you can reach. Words are the only currency the demo gives you, and combining them unlocks deeper ones — pairings that look useless early can open a memory later.
  • The branch point players describe is the fossil question near the end. If you want to see the alternate outcomes they report, replay from the start and offer a different memory when it comes up.
  • Don't expect the safe's "Pond" word to open a hidden route; players report it only leaves a memo.
  • Because the final question is reported to have no correct answer, replaying with different word combinations is the realistic way to see everything the demo contains.
