Am I Nima Locker Code: What Players Have Solved

The Am I Nima discussion thread gives POND for the safe, but the day-two locker is a separate question. Here is what players have confirmed.

The word players have actually cracked and shared for Am I Nima is POND, and it belongs to the safe, not the locker. In the Steam discussion thread "Alternate Ending? Hidden content?", a player asks whether the Life/Fossil chapter can be finished without the lobotomy ending and whether anyone has opened the safe. After a few replies listing guesses, one poster gives the plain answer: enter POND.

As of 2026-10-18, that same Steam discussion thread does not give a locker code, and the thread list on that page shows a separate topic titled "Locker at start of day 2." Nothing in the safe thread suggests the safe answer is reused for the locker, so treat them as two different puzzles rather than one code doing double duty.

Why the safe answer is POND

The player who posted the answer framed it as a findable hint rather than a random word: the code is in the room and relates to "a name of something she liked." Other posters in the thread had already been typing single words at the safe — fish, life, nima, and a longer list that included line, bone and sane — so the puzzle is clearly a word, not a number pad.

The link to POND is usually read as a family name. In the same thread, one player mentions working out story details around "James Pond, Dad," and the demo's memory items include a shark plush from an aquarium trip with Nima's father. That connection between the father and the word POND is player interpretation, not something the developer spelled out in the thread.

The locker is a different question

If you are stuck on the locker at the start of day two, the community thread that solves the safe will not help you, because the replies there never mention the locker. The Steam board does carry a separate thread on that locker, but the answer given in the safe thread is specific to the safe. It is worth checking whether the object in front of you is the one the thread discusses before assuming a code is broken.

How the word puzzles fit together

A demo playthrough write-up at Creeping for Scale Models describes the loop: you click objects and explore to unlock words, you start with only Nima and Stranger, and combining words unlocks further words that can then be used as dialogue options. That is the same system feeding the safe and the story branches.

Players in the Steam thread report specific combinations along the way — Fossil plus Life to reach the Life/Fossil chapter, pain as a word that branches widely, grief when the shark plush is shown, and a special OBSESSION word that leads to a bad ending. Those are player finds, and the thread does not claim they are the only routes.

Demo versus the fuller release

The developer, HO! Games, posted in that thread on 26 February 2025 that the demo always ends with the mother stabbing you, and that the full release was planned to add two more days, three more rooms and five different endings. Much of the alternate-ending speculation in the thread is therefore about a build that stops early. As of 2026-10-18, that developer post remains the clearest statement in the thread about what the demo withholds.

If a code or word will not go in

  • Confirm which object you are facing. The shared answer covers the safe; the locker at the start of day two is discussed separately.
  • Re-check the room for the hint the thread describes — a name tied to something the character liked — before trying more guesses.
  • If a dialogue word you expect is missing, the community's working assumption is that new words come from combining words you already have, so it is worth trying combinations rather than assuming a bug. That is a player habit, not a tested feature.
